The board of directors (Verwaltungsrat) of IKB International S.A. finalised the preparation of the Luxembourg Bank's annual financial statements for the 2008/09 financial year which ed on 31 March 2009 and forwarded them to the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (Generalversammlung) for approval. Based on the financial statements, the loss participation of the silent partnership certificates (Stille Beteiligungen) in IKB International S.A. has been calculated, as specified below.

The financial statements for the financial year 2008/09, which have yet to be approved by the Bank's auditors and the Annual General Meeting of the Shareholders, show a loss for the period of EUR -285 million before allocation of losses to the silent partnership certificates. Following the loss participation of the silent partnership certificates in an amount of EUR 12 million, the loss for the period is reduced to EUR -273 million. As a result of the loss, the profit participation payments on the silent partnership certificates in IKB International S.A. scheduled for 17 November 2009 will be cancelled.

The cancellation of profit participation payments on the silent partnerships also leads to a cancellation of the corresponding distribution payments under the Capital Contribution Certificates.

As a result of the Luxembourg Bank's loss for the period the contribution amounts (Einlagebeträge) of the silent partnerships in IKB International S.A. are reduced. The loss participation is determined in accordance with the relevant silent partnership agreements. The reduction of the contribution amounts also leads to a reduction of the repayment claims in respect of the Capital Contribution Certificates.

Based on the unaudited financial statements for 2008/09, the following repayment claims result after loss participation:

Under certain circumstances set out in the relevant silent partnership agreements, the reduced contribution amounts of the silent partnership certificates with maturity 2010 may be replenished in future periods.
