ARQUES Industries AG sells its shares in tiscon AG

Starnberg, July 20, 2009. ARQUES Industries AG (ISIN DE0005156004), Starnberg (Germany), has sold its shares in tiscon AG. Until now ARQUES owned approximately 60% of the shares in tiscon AG. The buyers of the shares are KCK Association (Russia) and other investors. KCK Association is represented in Germany by GreenGold AG and KCK Ökologie GmbH, Berlin. The buyers will actively continue the strategic and operational development of tiscon AG and its subsidiaries. tiscon AG will benefit specifically from the new shareholder's excellent network within the Eastern European growth markets. The parties agreed not to disclose the contractual details of the transaction.

ARQUES incorporated COS Distribution, Avitos and Topedo, acquired in December 2006 and primarily operational in the IT distribution segment, into tiscon AG. The acquisition of Chikara in February 2007 opened up a further IT sales market with large consumer retailers. Under its own store brand, the subsidiary Topedo offers PC systems and servers which are series produced or manufactured according to customers' specifications. The business is strengthened with store brands, in particular by the purchase of the 'Typhoon' brand.
